This is a list of manuscripts mentioned in the description of the collections as found in the 2005 book. The list was created semi-manually based on the MSS index to the ''Clavis'' handbook but has been added to and reworked (e.g. place names standardised).
This list was compiled from several sources:
 
* A list of all manuscripts mentioned in the 2005 Clavis canonum handbook, created semi-automatically from the manuscript index of that book. See [[List of manuscripts in Fowler-Magerl]] for the list of these manuscripts
For manuscripts not mentioned in the 2005 handbook, see the [[:Category:Manuscript not in Clavis handbook]]. For a list of manuscripts based on Lotte Kéry's guide to the manuscripts, see [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 1|here]] (Admont to Huesca, 286 mss), [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 2|here]] (Ivrea to Palermo, 324 mss), [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 3|here]]  (paris to Valère, 397 mss), and [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 4|here]] (Vatican to Zwettl, 303 mss).
* A similar list based on the mss index of Kéry's 1999 manual. As the complete list (over 1300 mss) seemed to create issues, it was split into four lists, for which see [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 1|here]] (Admont to Huesca, 286 mss), [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 2|here]] (Ivrea to Palermo, 324 mss), [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 3|here]]  (Paris to Valère, 397 mss), and [[List of manuscripts in Kéry 4|here]] (Vatican to Zwettl, 303 mss).
 
* Another, shorter list covers the manuscripts which Elliot based his transcriptions on; for the list, see Missing Mss List 7|here]]
The [[:Category:Manuscript]] effectively will replace this list; it contains all articles on manuscripts of the Clavis wiki, whether or not they were already mentioned in the 2005 version.
Note that the individual lists may differ in how they cite some manuscripts; only the complete list has been standardized.
The aim is that every manuscript mentioned in any of these lists will have its own description as part of this Clavis Wiki. In the long run, therefore, the [[:Category:Manuscript]] effectively will replace this list.
