In prima parte agitur (after its incipit: In prima parte agitur de iustitia naturali et positiva, tam constituta quam inconstituta) is an anonymous introduction frequently copied before the text of Gratian's Decretum. It is attested in the earliest witnesses of the work, e.g. in Montecassino, Archivio dell’Abbazia, 64 (siglum Mv), from the mid-twelfth century, probably made in the same abbey, and from this manuscript it was edited in Bibliotheca Casinensis seu Codicum Manuscriptorum, II (1875) pp. 171-196. It also appears in the mss. Admont, Stiftsbibliothek, Cod. 23 (fol. 1v-8r) and Cod. 43 (fol. 1v-11r, om. De cons.), witnesses of the first recension, but was no longer copied in the manuscripts producedfrom the first decades of the thirteenth century onwards.
