I have put Ott. lat. 3062 in the "incomplete" category, or do you see a better option, @John? atv Christof Rolker (talk) 10:09, 9 January 2026 (CET)Reply

Vx/3062 is an appendix of second-recension additions now detached from its first-recension partner (there are hundreds of tie marks that must have corresponded to the first-recension portion). It is like Bc, Fd, and Aa, except that the first-recension portion was removed. It also ends at C.28--the rest is lost.
The easiest solution (and consistent with our current definitions) is to put it in the incomplete category, as you say. But then we might have to consider also putting Bc (lost after C.12) and Gg (lost after C.24) there. A possible minimum threshold for complete manuscripts is roughly half or more of the Decretum (would include Bc and Gg but not Vx). JBurden (talk) 21:16, 9 January 2026 (CET)Reply
Thanks for tzjhe prompt reply, and yes, Bc and Gg are best described as "incomplete"; I will take care of them. The lower minimum for an "incomplete" copy is the definition of "fragment" - so we call "incomplete" what is larger than a fragment but evidently not complete. Not a clear.cut definition, but good enough (for now), I think. atb Christof Rolker (talk) 09:35, 10 January 2026 (CET)Reply
