Layout: Primary text written in 2 columns of 24-44 lines, textblock 235 x 135 mm, lead point ruling. Commentary text appears in 2 columns of 6-118 lines surrounding the primary text, textblock 24-405 x 250 mm, lead point ruling. Script: Written in littera bononiensis. Decoration: Illuminated initials with foliate extensions mark the opening of chapters; subheadings are set off by blue initials with red flourishing in the main text and alternating blue and red flourished initials in the commentary. Paragraph markers alternate blue and red; lemmata are frequently underlined in yellow. Running heads appear mostly in the upper recto margins, except where trimmed off, and occasionally in the lower margins. Catchwords regularly mark the end of 12-folio quires, in some cases trimmed as well. Final quire has 6 folios. Manicules throughout. Extensive Latin annotation in margins and interlineally. Blank spaces in commentary columns are frequently left unruled. The Ubi periculum tract, ff. 295-296, shows minimal decoration. .
