An alternative way to create lists of mss is using the extension DynamicPageList3 (see Testing DPL3 for background). The List of Burchard manuscripts, for example, contains a bit of code that loos like this:

<dpl>

category = Manuscript of BU
notcategory = Burchard fragment
notcategory = Lost Manuscript
ordermethod=sortkey
include={Infobox manuscript}:century:biblissima:descriptionat:digitalimages
table=class="wikitable sortable",Manuscript,Date (rough),Biblissima QID,Description,Digital Images
count = 4

</dpl>

The first line means all articles in the category "Manuscript of Burchard" are to be included in the table; the next two lines exclude articles in the respective categories. The "include" parameter defines the columns; here, it translates as "look up the Infobox, and display the values of the parameters called "century", "biblissima", "descriptionat", and "digitalimages". Note that the parameters are separated by colon. The next line describes what the table should look like, including the name of the columns, separated by comma. The parameter "count = 4" means that only the first four entries are displayes - on the actual List of Burchard manuscripts, the value is "4000".

The resulting table looks like this, and automatically updates whenever new articles are added or infoboxes are altered:

Manuscript Date (rough) Biblissima QID Description Digital Images
Angers, BM, 368 saec. XI Q209921 ccfr.bnf.fr arca.irht.cnrs.fr
Bamberg, Staatsbibliothek, Msc.Can.6 saec. XI Q252558 burchards-dekret-digital.de nbn-resolving.org (digital.bib-bvb.de)
Bologna, Biblioteca Universitaria, 2239 saec. XII manus.iccu.sbn.it
Bruxelles, KBR, 3819-20 saec. XI Q442998 opac.kbr.be
