Berlin, SBPK, Phill. 1776 (also known by the Rose catalogue number 79) is a composite manuscript of 128 folios. The first part, today fol. 1-92, is the sole copy of the Berolinensis, a collection of early papal letters closely related to the Collectio Avellana. Fol. 92v contains excerpts from Carolingian capitularies. The second part, fol. 93-128 contains the chartulary of Corbie and various materials, the most recent of which is a privilege of Nicholas I from 863.

The manuscript is also known as „codex Virdunensis“ (Sirmond) or „Handschrift von Verdun“ (Maassen), maybe because it was at Verdun in Sirmond‘s time (see Maassen p. 764). More recently, both the manuscript and the collection it contains are known as „Berolinensis“.

Schwartz, Publizistische Sammlungen 280ff. referred to the manuscript as „Cod. Berol. 79“ (or simply „B“), the EOMIA indices as „Cod. lat. 79 (Phillipps 1776)“, Ganz p. 14 and as „Phillipps 79 (1776)“, Jasper, p. 61 as „79 (Phill. 1776)“.
