The university of Montpellier, founded in the 13th century, has a long tradition of legal studies.

Several hundred medieval manuscripts used to be part of the medical library which was part of the Bibliothèque interuniversitaire (or BUI) and was called the Section de Médecine of the former.

By 2024, the manuscripts seem to have transferred to the BU Historique de médecine which is separate from the Médecine UPM library. According to its homepage, the BU Historique de médecine according is closed until 2026. Its manuscripts have, however, been made accessible via a platform for the history collections of the university libraries of Montpellier ("Foli@ : la bibliothèque numérique patrimoniale").

The Clavis Wiki retains the traditional name Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire. Section de Médecine for the manuscript collection.

There are 2 manuscripts in this Wiki which are held by Montpellier, Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire. Section de Médecine; see Category:Manuscript in Montpellier, Bibliothèque Interuniversitaire. Section de Médecine.
