Title Canones urbicani
Key ?
Century saec. V
Main author Christof Rolker

There are two collections of decretal letters from the time of Leo I, the Canones urbicani (compiled probably in Gaul) and the Epistolae decretales (compiled in Rome). Both are lost; their content and structure can only be inferred from later collections. On this basis, scholar assume the Canones urbanici contained five papal letters, two from Innocent (JK 293, 303), one from Zosimus (JK 339), and two from Celestine (JK 369 and 371).
