Two collections going back to excerpts from Register of Gregory the Great, the Collectio CC epistolarum (or C) and the Collectio Pauli (or P), were combined at an unknown time. The circulation of this C+P collection north of the Alps only played an important role in establishing the non-Italian origin of 74T.
