Usage
If you use this template to refer to a papal letter, you simply enter the Jaffé number in the field, or in the Edit source mode you type e.g. {{JK+|10}}. As a result, the number is linked directly to the relevant page in second edition of Jaffe, Regesta pontificum. At the same time, the respective page is placed in a category (e.g. JK †10) together with all other pages that mention the same Jaffé number, creating an index of papal letters by Jaffé numbers. These categories in turn are found in the Category:Papal letters by Jaffe number.
