I'm not quite sure what exactly you are asking for because to me it reads more like an additional category than a sortkey (and what you added for the vatican libraries were categories and not sortkeys which all would be something like
DEFAULTSORT
). :Well, I did mean sortkeys: a sortkey to be added after a pipe to make sure a page is sorted by "city name library name" (the latter actually matters only for places with more than one library) within the :Category:Manuscripts by library. DEFAULTSORT would also work.

:It's not really important, but of course it would be splendid if you can fix this issue. Thanks in advance, Christof Rolker (talk) 20:27, 20 March 2025 (CET)

I'm not quite sure what exactly you are asking for because to me it reads more like an additional category than a sortkey (and what you added for the vatican libraries were categories and not sortkeys which all would be something like DEFAULTSORT). So what I'd do right now is to write a bot which goes through all categories in Category:Manuscripts by library and adapts the category to be instead SStark (talk) 16:04, 20 March 2025 (CET)
- Well, I did mean sortkeys: a sortkey to be added after a pipe to make sure a page is sorted by "city name library name" (the latter actually matters only for places with more than one library) within the Category:Manuscripts by library. DEFAULTSORT would also work.
- Now I think about it, the Same applies to library pages in the Category:Library so that they are arranged by place rather than all lumped together under "L". Here, DEFAULTSORT would be better because the same applies to all categories containing library pages.
- It's not really important, but of course it would be splendid if you can fix this issue. Thanks in advance, Christof Rolker (talk) 20:27, 20 March 2025 (CET)
