The Collectio CCCCLII capitulorum in Vallicelliana, Tomus XVIII is a large collection which according to the capitulatio contains 452 canons (called partes), 423 of which are found in the manuscript; the manuscript breaks off fol. 280v after the first lines of c. 424.
Item no. 4 in this large collection is a separate work known as Collectio XLIV capitulorum „De episcoporum transmigratione“.
The whole collection, not only the sub-collection De episcoporum transmigratione, was used by Auxilius. See now Annette Grabowsky, Der Streit um Formosus. Traktate des Auxilius und weitere Schriften (MGH. Quellen zur Geistesgeschichte des Mittelalters 32, 2021), esp. CLXXV–CLXXXVII.
