The Collectio Albingensis (after Albi, BM, 2) is a collection compiled in sixth-century Gaul; the most recent material comes from the council of Orléans 549, and Mordek p. 39. n. 14 argued that the collection was compiled soon after (rejecting argument for a late date based on the papal catalogues). Both Maassen and Mordek refer to it as "Sammlung der Handschrift von Albi".

Relation to other collections

Maassen pointed to the use of the Collectio Dionysiana I for the Albigensis; according to him, the Albigensis also used the Collectio Corbeiensis or a very similar collection.

Mordek pp. 39-42 argued that the compiler of the Collectio Vetus Gallica did not use the Albigensis, but worked with the immediate sources of the latter, namely a version of the Corbeiensis and a (fragmentary?) version of the Dionysiana. He based his claim mainly on the presence of Sardinca c. 13 in both collections, and JK 311. As he argued, these materials were more similar to the Albingensis than the Corbeiensis, and indeed he asserted that "der Autor der Vetus Gallica die Collectio Albigensis in einer älteren, heute verschollenen Form zur Hand hatte", apparently referring to the same texts (p. 42).
