In the case of Arras, it is the BM itself that uses both the shelfmark and the CGM numbers; an email by the library in spring 2025 confirmed this:

Il y a en effet une double cotation, celle d'Arras qui sert au classement des manuscrits à la bibliothèque, et celle du CGM. Nous libellons nos cotes ainsi:
Arras (CGM), ce qui donne: Arras BM 7 (CGM16).
