Martin Schøyen has grown rather old and is selling/donating his collection. I shall endeavor to find out what is happening to this Liber extra manuscript. Relatively few items (but including the large batch of materials from Sir Thomas Phillipps: his own catalogues, private prints, etc.) have been donated to the Cathedral School in Oslo. Most is being sold at auction. The Norwegian National Archives have prohibited the export of some Norwegian items that they themselves are acquiring, but this is mostly charters. Schøyen Collection is being sold

The Liber extra manuscript is here: https://www.christies.com/en/lot/lot-6483595?ldp_breadcrumb=back
It was sold for 44 100 GBP. Anders.winroth (talk) 11:01, 20 December 2025 (CET)Reply
Thanks for this. As the ms is now in an unknown (private) collection, there is little we can do or report beyond the fact it was sold. In line with our Conventions, we will retain the lemma, as the Schøyen Collection is the last known collection the manuscript was part of. atb Christof Rolker (talk) 11:23, 20 December 2025 (CET)Reply
