The only known copy is [[Wolfenbüttel, Herzog-August-Bibliothek, Cod. Guelf. 454 Helmst.]] from Halberstadt.
As the most recent canon is the protocol (no canons) of a Roman synod of February 964, and the only known copy is [[Wolfenbüttel, HAB, Cod. Guelf. 454 Helmst.]] was still written before 1000, a compilation in the tenth century can be inferred.
