These small fragments contain short parts of the third book of Benedict's collection. The readings show a close relationship with Paris, BnF, lat. 4636 (=P17). According to Schmitz on the Benedictus Levita page it is highly likely that the Beinecke fragments were copied from the Paris manuscript. Which in turn is a notable result as the famous Codex Bellovacensis used by Baluze and now lost was also a copy of P17. Thus, one can ask if the Beinecke fragments are indeed the remnants of the Bellovacensis?
