München, BSB, Clm 16085 was described as containing a "miscellaneous collection of canonical material once the property of St. Nicholas, Passau" by John Gilchrist. It contains relatively many letters of Gregory and canons of the synods he held, including the synodal investiture prohibitions of Rome 1078 and Rome 1080 (Beulertz).

Several texts found in Clm 16085 have been described as separate works (see http://geschichtsquellen.de/hs/18156):

  • fol. 89v contains Bonizo's De investitura episcoporum (ed. Berschin, Bonizo von Sutri, 76), containing a possible (but very vague) reference to the Forged Investiture Privileges
  • The anonymous Dialogus de filiis sacerdotum (ed. Weisweiler)
  • The Epistola de vitanda missa uxoratorum sacerdotum (ed. Sackur without knowledge of this ms; see Deutinger in DA 63 (2007), 93-100)
  • According to Mews, fols. 104-142 contain the Sententiae Petri Abaelardi (third recension)

If the contents of Clm 16085 are indeed one collection, it cannot have been compiled before 1111. The ms itself is dated to the twelfth (Gilchrist, Berschin) or the twelfth/thirteenth centuries (Weisweiler).
