Mordek treated the abbreviated canons in Paris, BnF, lat. 12097 fol. 177v-178v as the fragment of a separate collection which in the index was listed as Collectio Corbeiensis systematica. He suggested a date around 600 and an origin in Lyon. Maassen and Turner, however, had previously dated the collection - alongside the manuscript itself - to sometime in the (second half of) the sixth or seventh century. This is primarily based on the latest/youngest reference to a Merovingian council, which in this case was the fifth council of Orléans in 548. Therefore, the collection may well be dated to any time after that until the seventh century.
