Yes, very much in favor of this! Maybe, we could also have different categories: one for open wishes and one for wishes that have been dealt with (either fulfilled or rejected)? And while we are at it, we might also have a way to categorize some wishes as "high priority". The reason behind this: Sometimes, when I have a little time at hand, I glance over the wishlist and try to identify tasks that are ideally both, important and easy to do. So a priority signal might be useful. But on the other hand I most certainly realize that this system might discourage users from formulating wishes if they see that their ideas do not make it to the top priority category...
