Trier, Stadtbibliothek, 1709 (also known as the Liber aureus) is a copy of the chartulary of the Abbey of Prüm made between the tenth and the early twelfth centuries. It was written and bound in the first decade of the twelfth century. In canon law history, it is mainly known for containing the first occurrence of the forgery Quam sit necessarium (JE †1366) that was widely disseminated via 74 and its derivatives.
