I'm not quite sure what exactly you are asking for because to me it reads more like an additional category than a sortkey (and what you added for the vatican libraries were categories and not sortkey which all would be something like <code>DEFAULTSORT</code>). So what I'd do right now is to write a bot which goes through all categories in [[:Category:Manuscripts by library]] and adapts the category to be <nowiki>[[:Category:Manuscript by library|CITY]]</nowiki> instead [[User:SStark|SStark]] ([[User talk:SStark|talk]]) 16:04, 20 March 2025 (CET)
