Paris, BnF, lat. 3858C, fol. 56–88 contains the only known copy of an ancient chronological collection of conciliar canons. It has nothing to do with the high medieval collection found in the same manuscript (= Collectio canonum I in Paris, BnF, lat. 3858C) nor the post-Gratian collections known as Parisienses. To distinguish it from the former, the ancient collection is referred to as "Collectio canonum II in Paris, BnF, lat. 3858C".
Maassen treats this collection, the Collectio Theodosii diaconi, and the Collectio Wirceburgensis as three similar collections all containing conciliar canons (plus papal letters as far as they relate to the same councils).
