Roger Reynolds published an analysis (implicit edition) of the collection. The present analysis ({{Coll|RE}}) is based on his. Reynolds classifies the collection as a ''farrago''. The formal source(s) of those canons which are not taken from the ''Collectio V librorum'' cannot be identified. The collection deals with the ministry of the sacraments and the administration of penance to both clergy and laity. The elementary nature of the collection suggests that it was compiled for a dependency of the monastery.
