not a clean codex:

fol. 1–6: saec. X: Notitia Galliarum and Laterculus provinciarum Polemii Silvii

Karte

Paris, BnF, lat. 4280B

To keep the general namespace clean, here are some notes (excerpts form Pokorny) that I need to insert into Paris, BnF, lat. 4280B:

saec. IX, mostly canon law content

not mentioned in modern lists of canon law mss.

not a clean codex:

fol. 1–6 is a later addition, the original first quire is missing

fol. 1–6: saec. X: Notitia Galliarum and Laterculus provinciarum Polemii Silvii

fol. 6v: addition saec. XI: Ymnus Sci Michaelis with neumes

fol. 7–62: seven quaternios numbered 'b' through 'h'

a collection of exceprts mainly from the Collectio Hispana and Dionysio-Hadriana (and from some decretals)

a closer look reveals the way the collector worked: he used an exemplar of the systematically ordered Collectio Dacheriana as his source and rearranged the canones according to places of the councils or the names of the popes (Pokorny p. 6)

fol. 67 also contains parts of this collection.

On fol. 67v starts a text inscribed "Dicta in expositio [!] super Matttheum" which is continued on fol. 63r–65r (excerpt from Hieronymus, Comm. in Math. CC 77, 1969)

fol. 65r–66v: 1. Cor. 6,12–8,1

fol. 68–88: right before fol. 68 some pages are missing again, here the final part of the manuscript begins

  • fol. 68r–69r, 69v–72r: "Decretum": Macon 855 c. 3, 4, Valence 855 c. 9 = Macon 855 c. 8 fol. 79rv: part of JE 2697 (Nicolaus to Ado of Vienne), Macon 855 c. 2
  • fol. 72a: excerpts from decretals of the Dionysio-Hadriana
  • fol. 73–78: Laterculus provintiarum Polemii Silvii (fol. 74r–76r), Notitia Galliarum (fol. 76r–78r), later addition: epistola formata (867) on fol. 73rv
  • fol. 78v–79r: JE 1819 (Gregor I to Anatholicus of Constantinople), part of JE 2697 (Nicolaus to Ado of Vienne), up to 79v: c. 2 of Macon 855
  • fol. 80r–87v: JK † 230 (Felix II. to Athanasius)
  • fol. 88rv: some word explanations
