There are two collections of decretal letters from the time of Leo I, the ''[[Canones urbicani]]'' (compiled probably in Gaul) and the ''Epistolae decretales'' (compiled in Rome). Both are lost; their content and structure can only be inferred from later collections. On this basis, scholar assume the ''Canones urbanici'' contained five papal letters, two from Innocent ({{JK|293}}, 303), one from Zosimus ({{JK|339}}), and two from Celestine ({{JK|369}} and 371). | There are two collections of decretal letters from the time of Leo I, the ''[[Canones urbicani]]'' (compiled probably in Gaul) and the ''Epistolae decretales'' (compiled in Rome).
