The largest of municipal library of Strasbourg, with substantial historical collections, since 2008 is called Médiathèque André Malraux. Together with the [[Strasbourg, Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire|Bibliothèque nationale et universitaire]], it is the successor of the [[Strasbourg, BM|Bibliothèque municipale]] destroyed in 1870.
