The collection, extant in Paris, BnF, lat. 12445 and Berlin, SBPK, Phill. 1741 (both copies of the Collectio Dionysio-Hadriana) mixes both Roman and canon law. Kéry, citing Gaudemet, describes it as follows:
- A mixture of constitutions from the Codex Theodosianus and canon law texts; important because it contains a great number of constitutions from the Codex Theodosianus which are not found in the Breviarium of Alaric; this collection is more a systematic treatise than a canonical collection.
For the Roman law, see Conrat, who cautiously assumed that the compiler tried to compare canon and Roman law on different topics.
