Firenze, BML, Plut. VII sin. 1 (Prov. Santa Croce) is a copy of a Burchard abbreviation (fol. 1ra-152va), excerpts from the Collectio Hibernensis (fol. 152va-155ra), and other materials (genuine and forged decretals, exegesis, church history, Damiani's Liber Gomorrhianus).

The Burchard abbreviation

Kéry notes that the Burchard abbreviation belonged to the Italian tradition and was similar to Lucca, Biblioteca Capitolare Feliniana, 124 and "Calci 9" (= Firenze, BML, Calci 11). Note that the folio numbers she gives p. 75 actually refer to the Hibernensis excerpts, not the Burchard abbreviation.

Fowler-Magerl, Clavis p. 96 pointed at similarities between the Burchard materials and the Collectio Barberiniana.

Fransen, Tradition p. 113 n. 6 provides the following description of the Burchard abbreviation:
